Leveraging 20+ years of experience and in-depth knowledge of the senior living sector, Derek focuses exclusively on meeting the unique real estate needs of senior living property owners, operators, developers, lenders, and investors.

Fuelled by a passion for the senior living industry and a desire to provide exceptional services to aging Canadians, Derek started his career as a Co-founder of Care Planning Partners (CPP), which quickly emerged as the go-to source for market and financial feasibility assessments and intelligence in the sector.

Derek launched TheCareGuide.com in 1996 leading to The Care Guide in 2002, helping countless seniors and their families make informed decisions about their eldercare needs and appropriate senior living arrangements. Derek served the Ontario Retirement Communities Association’s (ORCA) Board of Directors for six consecutive years and Chair of its Commercial Members’ Committee.

Derek holds an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University. He is a dynamic entrepreneur dedicated to providing the highest level of service and expertise to his clients.

Kristen Forster

Kristen is a seasoned business development and sales professional with over 25 years of experience in commercial construction and real estate development, specializing in healthcare-related real estate and the senior living sector.

Her sound business acumen, combined with exceptional market and real estate development expertise, enables her to align clients’ real estate objectives.

Kristen’s successful track record in commercial real estate development and construction is a testament to her commitment to excellence. Her extensive network of consultants, developers, and related professionals allows her to provide clients with the highest level of support, assistance, and value.

Kristen is honoured to be awarded Top 50 National Royal LePage Commercial 2022, Top 10 Commercial Royal LePage Real Estate 2021, and 2022. She is the Co-founder at Good Life Realty and holds an Honours Degree Psychology and Business from Wilfrid Laurier.

Jodi founded Senior Living Pro in 2011 after 17 years serving as a progressive senior executive and Vice President Communications, Sales and Marketing at North America’s top senior living companies.

Jodi’s expertise spans all aspects of senior living sales and marketing, occupancy performance, development market feasibility, project design and architectural program. She has orchestrated dozens of successful marketing campaigns driving occupancy performance, opened more than 20 new senior living projects, trained hundreds of people to effectively sell to seniors and written multiple versions of sales and marketing policy manuals.

Rounding out the Bloomr Commercial Real Estate team, Jodi offers clients a laser focus on readying projects for market, maximizing returns through occupancy performance and quality operations.

Jodi served as Vice President Marketing on Ontario Retirement Community Association Board of Directors, Marketing committee member for the Ontario Long-Term Care Association, and maintains Commercial Membership.
